FAQ

On the dok-leipzig.culturebase.org site, create a user account ("Login" in the top right corner) with your email address and a personal password. After the successful activation you will receive a confirmation letter via email with an activation link for your account (please also check your spam folder). By clicking on the confirmation link in the email you activate your account. You are now automatically logged in and your name appears in the upper right corner of the screen instead of "Login".

As soon as you have successfully completed the payment process, the button "View Film" will appear further down the left side of the screen. Click on it. Now the play button in the video window is also active.

Our film programme is geoblocked and can only be seen in Germany. The only exceptions are accredited professionals and members of the press.

• Single ticket for one online film screening (ticket for one film or one short film reel): 5 €


• Group ticket for one online film screening (ticket for one film or one short film reel): 20 €


• Season ticket for an unlimited number of films: 50 €


• Season ticket with donation to filmmakers: 100 € (This includes extra support that will go towards an expense allowance paid to the filmmakers for their online participation in the festival.

You can also obtain accreditation for the festival, which gives you online access to all films and industry offers. Further information can be found here.

After you have created your account on dok-leipzig.culturebase.org, you can choose the payment option on the page of the selected film or short film reel (single tickets, group tickets or season tickets).

Please pay via PayPal or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Amex). Please choose one of both and complete the payment process. You will receive a confirmation by email after your payment.

Unfortunately, we only offer these two payment options for our online film screenings. Perhaps someone you know can help you out here?

The films are available online for 14 days from the day after their respective festival premieres (see film programme). The final films can therefore be viewed until 14 November.

The 12 films in the International Competition for Long Documentary and Animated Film will be livestreamed from Monday to Saturday at 5 pm and 8 pm (see film programme for exact starting times), followed by a live film talk with the filmmakers. On the following day they are also available as video on demand.

Films for which you have purchased a video-on-demand ticket are available for 48 hours from the beginning of the screening. There is no such option for the livestream, as the ticket is only valid for the time the livestream runs.

Please update your browser, the film should start now. If you still have difficulties buying or watching the films, please send us an email to tickets@dok-leipzig.de. One of our staff members will contact you as soon as possible to solve the problem.

To watch the films, you need a computer, laptop, smart TV, smart phone or tablet. These devices must of course be connected to the Internet. Please use the latest browser version (recommended for Chrome, Firefox - Safari is not recommended).

Make sure that the password you choose complies with the guidelines:

The password must consist of at least 8 characters.

It must contain letters, numbers and special characters.

Special characters are for example !?$=

Capital letters and numbers are not considered special characters.

The password repetition must match.

After entering all user data, a check for an already existing account (same address etc.) takes place before the account is created. If you see entries that match your data, please select them to be merged by the editors. If you have never registered with culturebase.org before, no entries should be displayed here.
To create a new account, select "No match found: Create new account".

Just click on "Forgot your password?" on the login page, enter the email address with which you registered your account and you will receive a link to reset your password.
